Step forward Jason Orange who, I can reveal, is exercising his not-inconsiderable charms on the 21-year-old daughter of late comedy legend Les Dawson.

At first, Charlotte (bless her) was Blankety Blank about who the hell he was as Jason made his move. Then a pal whispered in her ear – and they quickly hit it off.

The pair spent the evening chatting over a few glasses of champagne before exchanging numbers and Jason asked Lancashire-born Charlotte if he could take her out next time she was in Manchester.
A source said: “Jason and Charlotte got chatting in Neighbourhood on a Sunday evening and quickly hit it off – even though she wasn’t totally sure who he was.
“She did think he was quite a lot older than her, but he was charming and funny and they chatted for ages before he gave her his number and made it quite clear he’d like to take her out. He certainly seemed pretty keen and Charlotte’s a gorgeous girl, but she’s been quite coy about it since.
“They’ve definitely had another chat on the phone this week so who knows what will happen?”
Charlotte’s dad Les, who died in 1993 when she was just a baby, was famous for his out-of-tune piano playing and clever comic wordplay.

Coincidentally, Jason’s bandmate Gary Barlow often plays tribute to the funnyman in his shows.
I don’t know whether Charlotte inherited her father’s knack for wonky tonk – but, judging by her slender figure, she hasn’t modelled herself on her famous portly papa.
This dalliance is the latest in Jason’s eclectic list of ladies. He previously dated Lulu, 65, although she insists they did nothing but hold hands and go for dinner.
More recently, he dated comedian and actress Catherine Tate, 45, after meeting her on a sketch for Comic Relief. Their relationship fizzled out in early 2012.

New Delhi: Actress Delnaz Irani, known for her bubbly characters on the screen, is thrilled to don the role of Rani Saheba for a new sitcom titled ‘Akbar & Birbal’. She says her character made her feel like a queen.
AMeenakshi Sagar production, the show is a historical comedy based on the stories of `Akbar and Birbal`. While Kiku Sharda will be seen as Badshah Akhbar, Delnaz will be seen as his wife.
"I have been a part of a lot of sitcoms for many years now, but when I was offered the character of Rani Saheba, I just couldn`t refuse it! The team has spent a good amount of time in developing the look of my character and I hope the audience likes my new avatar," Delnaz said in a statement.
"I`ll be portraying the character of a queen so, I had to improvise on the mannerisms and `adah` as a reflection of the same. Through this role, I feel like a queen myself," she added.
LOS ANGELES: Bloody ancient Greece fantasy-action movie "300: Rise of an Empire" slayed the competition at the North American box office this weekend, industry figures showed Monday.
The gory follow-up to the 2007 hit "300" raked in $45 million in its opening weekend, although it was some way off the $70.9 million the original film earned on opening.
The latest film, based on a not-yet-released graphic novel by Frank Miller, sees the return of several characters from the first film, notably the fearsome Persian warrior Xerxes played by Rodrigo Santoro.
In second place was another debut, animated children´s film "Mr. Peabody & Sherman." The film, based on characters from the 1960s television cartoon "Rocky and Bullwinkle" follows the adventures of a super-intelligent canine who adopts a human infant.
The Fox movie took $32.2 million, box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations reported.In third spot was last week´s number one film, "Non-Stop," the Liam Neeson action movie set on a long-haul flight.
The film added another $15.8 million to its total earnings. Fourth place was occupied by "The Lego Movie," the hit animated film inspired by the children´s toy building blocks, with $10.9 million.
Religious epic "Son of God" meanwhile added $10.4 million to take fifth spot. George Clooney´s "The Monuments Men" starring Bill Murray, Matt Damon, and Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett, took sixth place with $3.1 million.
The Kevin Costner thriller "3 Days To Kill," about a secret agent tasked with one final deadly mission, was seventh with $3 million.
Animated Oscar-winner "Frozen," loosely based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, took eighth spot with a sliver under $3 million.
Newly crowned Academy Awards best picture winner "12 Years A Slave" returned to the top 10 this weekend following its Oscar triumph the previous Sunday.
Steve McQueen´s harrowing slavery drama earned $2.1 million in its 21st week of release to stand ninth.Comedy "Ride Along" rounded out the top 10 with $2 million.

Oldest-known Holocaust survivor dies aged 110: family
LONDON- Alice Herz-Sommer, the world’s oldest known Holocaust survivor and the subject of an Oscar-nominated documentary, has died in London aged 110, her family announced Sunday.
Herz-Sommer, originally from Prague in what is now the Czech Republic, spent two years of World War II in Czechoslovakia’s Terezin concentration camp, where she entertained inmates by playing the piano.
Her grandson, Ariel Sommer, said: “Alice Sommer passed away peacefully this morning with her family by her bedside. Much has been written about her, but to those of us who knew her best, she was our dear ‘Gigi’.
“She loved us, laughed with us, and cherished music with us. She was an inspiration and our world will be significantly poorer without her by our side. We mourn her loss and ask for privacy in this very difficult moment.”
According to an update on the Facebook page for her Oscar-nominated film “The Lady In Number 6: Music Saved My Life”, she died on Sunday after a short illness.
“She was still living in her apartment, when she fell ill on Thursday, she spent two nights in hospital and passed this morning,” it said.
A later update read: “heaven just got a little better”.
The 38-minute film, in which she shares her life story and describes the importance of music and laughter for a happy life, is up for best short documentary at Sunday’s Academy Awards.
Producer Nicholas Reed said of the film: “Kids all over the world grow up on superheroes, what we, their parents, must remind them, is documentaries tell stories about ‘real superheroes.’
“Superheroes are based on great people, real people, like Alice Herz-Sommer.”
Writing on the film’s website, Herz-Sommer, who was a family friend of existentialist writer Franz Kafka, describes how “music saved my life.”
“I am Jewish, but Beethoven is my religion,” she says in a video-clip. “I am no longer myself. The body cannot resist as it did in the past.

Big B further said that even after her marriage and the distance Shweta has never made them feel distanced. “But how much connected she remains with me now .. a picture of dedication not just with the family she has gone to in marriage, but with us here,” Big B wrote.
When she comes home to Jalsa, its never as though she went away .. and she does not ever allows us to feel that she left .. daughters have a way of doing that, and doing that well ..

Big B says that there have been certain ‘ill moments’ in the year, which still continue and therefore the celebrations will be low. Besides, Holi this year coincides with his daughter Shweta’s birthday, and therefore Amitabh Bachchan will be with her in Delhi.

WHAT MADE AKSHAY'S BODYGUARD MANHANDLE AN ONLOOKER?
News has it that Akshay Kumar's bodyguard manhandled an onlooker who was trying to come close to the actor during a film shoot.
The man wanted to be close to the actor and Akshay's bodyguard allegedly pushed him. But the source close to the actor had something else to tell. "The onlooker was trying to click pictures and the production unit did not want any photo from the sets to leak out. So when the man was asked to stop clicking pictures, he pushed the bodyguard. And that is when things got out of hand," said the source.
The onlooker registered a complaint about the same to the nearest police station. Further action on the same is still awaited.
